Hoosic Valley CSD Raised to A+ by S&P

This is MY school district and I tell you, despite what the article says, we ARE NOT doing well economically in this district....only the schools are thriving, expanding and building new annexes as we speak. Its our ever-rising school TAXES paying for these expansions, NOT a "growing" economy! Everyone, and I mean everyone I know in this district is feeling the pinch, for real.
*Anways, half the kids coming out of this school cant even spell their own name, so what are we paying for? Eee gads, mon!

  1. Really?? What evidence do you have that suggests a reputable article from S&P?? If you feel that something needs to be done to change, where are you??? How come you are not speaking at board meetings?

  2. Click on title above (here is the link) to see my evidence....and I do go to board meetings, for all the good it does. They pay little (or no) attention to childless adults.

Where the hell do you get off making the statement "half the kids coming out of this school can't even spell their own name". This could mean that the kids are stupid, the parents don't care, the school system has poor administration and teachers, a combination of these,or a number of other unstated inferences in your ignorant comment. A great many of the residents of this district graduated from this fine school and went on to college and today have children attending HVCS. Being the childless carpet bagger that you are, the ideals of community, school pride, roots, and small town bonds are concepts such a worldly and intelligent person such as yourself couldn't possibly understand. As for the school board members not paying attention to you I also do not give much credence to that. The majority are willing to listen to everyone's opinion and do not make distinctions as to the number of childen one has in considering the value of their input. AS for the new buildings and rising school taxes; it is my understanding from the education I received at HVCS that school budgets and any resulting tax increase must be approved by a majority of people in the district that vote affirmatively for the increase. Bottom line is that it sounds to me like you are a disgruntled property owner in this district that can't have their own way so let's write a blog be smirching the good name and character of the school and the administration. Typical childish behavior by an adult that is neither needed, wanted, or tolerated much in this home town community.
